This position will be a collaborative member of the Finance team responsible for upkeep and maintenance of our company financial policies to help meet or exceed corporate goals. The successful candidate will assist in determining more effective ways to handle corporate funding, tax issues and growth financing and will report to the Chief Financial Officer.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Preparing internal and external financial statements
Evaluating, monitoring and enforcing accounting and internal control systems
Overseeing regulatory reporting and tax planning
Assessing accounting software and other systems
Developing and monitoring business performance metrics
Monitoring financial condition with internal audits
Coordinating with external auditors
Providing financial condition status through collecting, interpreting and reporting financial data
Understanding federal, state and local legal requirements
Maintaining equipment inventories and maintenance requirements and service contracts

Required Skills/Abilities:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to communicate complex ideas in easy-to-understand language
In-depth knowledge of standard financial software suites
Experience conducting internal and facilitating external audits
Experience navigating common corporate finance issues
Experience in all manner of standard accounting
Ability to perform analysis of data
Experience in developing budgets
Ability to efficiently manage processes
Experience with tracking expenses
Familiarity with tax codes and laws
Ability to constantly assess with analytical abilities
Degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience
CPA, CMA, or CGMA

Desired:

Knowledge of SEC regulations and Sarbanes-Oxley Act
Experience with macOS
