IT Network Administrator

We are seeking a professional individual who will serve as an IT Network Administrator, to manage internal and cloud networks. This person will report to the IT Director.

Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Maintain Apple MacBook’s connected across the united states via hardware and software- based VPN’s
  • Supply expert support to 30 highly skilled onsite and offsite engineering staff, executives, and board members
  • Supply remote support over voice, video or both on time using a helpdesk platformTechnical writing such as company policies and procedures, tutorials, and training articles
  • Configure and support physical or cloud servers for continuous build integration and secure remote access
  • Researching, documenting, and communicating technical requirements effectively with the team
  • Developing tools and integrating software to increase build efficiencies
  • Must have good organization, project management, and communication and troubleshooting skills

Must Have:

  • 4 years of experience implementing, troubleshooting, and supporting Windows, Linux & MAC operating systems.
  • 4 years of experience implementing, writing, upholding IT policies including following latest U.S data compliance regulations.
  • Apple Business manager (or similar MDM platforms)
  • Data Center Experience e.g. Rack & Stack including power distribution systems.
  • Experience in configuration management and automation efforts with technical troubleshooting and performance tuning experience.
  • Good understanding of TCP/IP and basic networking concepts (Subnets, VLANs, Jumbo Frames, LACP, NIC Teaming, Unicast/Broadcast/Multicast, ACLs, DNS,DHCP, SSH, etc.).
  • Experience managing public cloud deployments (e.g., Google Cloud, AWS 365 & Azure).
  • Scripting experience in writing/modifying code to improve monitoring and automation (e.g., Python, Go, Perl, Shell, etc.).
  • Basic TCP/IP knowledge and troubleshooting
  • Multi-talented in installing, supporting, and troubleshooting wide range of low voltage products
  • Basic understanding of the OSI troubleshooting method and know how to apply to real world applications
  • Working knowledge of next gen firewalls i.e. PFSense, USG, WatchGuard, Cisco, Sonic Wall
  • Experience with VPNs (Virtual Private Network), VLANs and subnetworks
  • Experience with AWS VPC networking and security, IAM and security groups
  • Above average experience with Office 365 and Azure as a global administrator
  • Experience with Linux/Unix
  • Knowledge of Atlassian products i.e. Jira Core, Jira Software, Trello, Confluence, Jira helpdesk (or similar project management platforms)
  • Experience with Wi-Fi networks and/or adhoc or enterprise level Wi-Fi security

Desired: 

  • A powerful desire for learning innovative technologies, ability to self-start, and impressive problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with load management, aggregation, and port allocation
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies i.e. 365, Azure, AWS, and MDM (Mobile Device Manager)
  • Candidate should be willing and able to manage and take part in projects performing comprehensive systems analysis to design and develop new systems and enhancements through consulting, conferring, and coordinating activities with staff, outside agencies, and vendors to resolve program, system, and operational problems.
