We are seeking a Learning and Development Manager with expertise in LMS implementation as well as implementing, providing, and coordinating training for various corporate needs such as employee development programs, regulatory compliance, human resources, safety, technical expertise, and supervisory leadership skills. This position assesses company-wide developmental needs to drive training initiatives and identifies and arranges suitable training solutions for employees. This position will be a member of the Wind Talker Innovations Human Resources team reporting to the Director of Human Resources.

Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Applies mathematical, statistical, and technical knowledge to analyze, investigate, and develop position, navigation, and timing algorithms for use in software products.
  • Utilizes exact and numerical approximation methods to efficiently solve problems.
  • Implements simulations derived from RF radar, comm, and Friss equations.
  • Works closely with software engineers to transition from equations and algorithms to computer software.
  • Develops state estimation equations, algorithms, and tuning parameters for filter-based optimization and prediction models.
  • Generates simulations to test, demonstrate, and refine algorithms.
  • Produces appropriate documentation and technical presentations of findings and communicates results to project engineering staff.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Conducts and organizes employee training programs for regulatory compliance, human resources, safety, technical expertise, and supervisory skills
  • Manages the Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Collaborates across HR and throughout the business on the development of yearly delivery plan, including budgetary needs and metrics, for assigned projects and programs
  • Facilitates program related logistics and communications
  • Creates, organizes, plans, and presents various forms of onboarding, orientation, and skills training for employees
  • Collaborates with outside consultants to effectively present training programs for executive officers and upper-level management
  • Assists with creating and organizing company training programs by researching training needs, planning courses, organizing materials, and conducting training
  • Coordinates and conducts needs analyses and analyzes information to help identify and define present and future training needs
  • Creates materials for new training programs
  • Oversees, evaluates, and edits existing and proposed training programs; recommends changes when appropriate
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of training programs through development and training surveys
  • Maintains current knowledge of new training techniques and developments
  • Collaborates with the HR Director concerning budget preparation and implementation
  • Performs other related duties as required

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Training and Development, or related field required
  • Five years of related experience in designing, delivering, and coordinating company training programs, and maintaining Learning Management Systems
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer
