We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer, responsible for design, prototype, and manufacturing hardware and electronics enclosures for our various suite of products. A candidate for this position will work with various engineering disciplines, business development, and leadership to derive product requirements and production timelines.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Responsible for electro-mechanical enclosure and product housing design, development, protoype, manufacturing/integration, and scale production processes.
Interact with business development, customers, and engineers from various disciplines (hardware, software, test, RF, etc.) to develop requirements, cost estimates, timeline, and production plans.
Coordinate the manufacturing process, including identification of component and manufacturing vendors as well as negotiation of services, cost and procurement lead-time estimates.
Manage bill-of-materials for components such as power, cooling, housing, connectors, etc. to include component sources, prototype testing and validation, and production.
Identify production personnel and space requirements for product builds.
Develop product test plans and test methodologies to ensure functional, materiel, environmental, and esthetic requirements and that products are in compliance with applicable industry/manufacturing/regulatory standards.
Track product development efforts and provide progress and status information to project management and senior leadership; identify and address production risks and issues.
Develop product manufacturing and integration processes, workflows, and production equipment layouts.
Collect and analyze manufacturing/integration process data to improve, efficiency, workflows, and optimize production space utilization in order to maximize product quality and minimize production costs.

Must Have:

6+ years of mechanical, industrial, manufacturing experience specifically with product enclosure and housing design and manufacture.
Demonstrable experience manufacturing enclosures and integrating computer/digital, RF, and power hardware components
Should understand and be driven by agile and lean manufacturing principles.
Able to read electrical schematics and a possess a command of basic electrical principles sufficient to integrate electrical/electronic components in a product enclosure.
Solid background with 3D printing technologies, workflows, design CAD, and Slicer software (e.g., Fusion/Cura).
Strong understanding of National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) and Ingress Protection (IP) enclosure standards.
Experience with MILSTD enclosure design and development is highly desired.
Demonstrable experience with traditional enclosure production technologies (e g. sheet metal, CNC) and additive production technologies (e g. injection molding, Carbon DLS, and so forth).
Excellent production planning and tracking skills using standard manufacturing planning models such as Gantt, Pert, Earned Value; skilled in one or more manufacturing and planning tool software packages.
Able to direct and coordinate the activities of production teams and assembly technicians.
Excellent personal time management, written/oral communication, and organization skills.

Able to manage multiple competing projects and tasks concurrently in a fast paced, high growth, dynamic environment.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.
