This position is for a Senior DevOps Engineer whose primary responsibilities are the design, instantiation, maintenance and ongoing development of continuous build, continuous integration (CI/CD) infrastructure. A candidate for this position must be knowledgeable CI/CD systems, cloud deployments, networks, data management, security, desktop, and mobile platforms.


  • Instantiate, maintain, and scale the CI/CD infrastructure for production, QA, and Dev environments to include tools, operations, and change management.
  • Support full automation of CI/CD testing frameworks and tools.
  • Responsible for pipeline and software security through all phases of build.
  • Develop policies, standards, guidelines, governance and related guidance for both CI/CD operations, production, and development environments.
  • Identify issues with, and opportunities to improve the CI/CD environment, tools, workflows, processes, and procedures.
  • On-board, train, and support developers in the CI/CD environment to include source control, build automation, test automation, deployment, tools, policies, and procedures.
  • Write and maintain CI/CD documentation.
  • Work with internal IT support and third-party vendors to resolve infrastructure issues.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • 4+ years of CI/CD experience in a Linux development environment within an AWS ecosystem.
  • 3+ years of software development experience, preferably in a Linux environment.
  • Experience with build dependency management in Java and C++ environments (e g. Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, make/cmake). Experience with quality control, test automation, and code-coverage tools in Java and C++ environments.
  • Experience with distributed repos (e g. Git) and configuration management.
  • Extensive Linux shell scripting experience (e g. Bash, Ruby, Perl, Python).
  • Solid foundation in networking technologies (e g. TCP/IP, TCP/UDP, HTTP, DNS, SSL/TLS).
  • Understanding of DevSecOps and the associated security requirements for certification to field (CTF) and authority to operate (ATO) in a DoD/US government context.
  • Able to grasp complex concepts and problems and clearly communicate them (orally/written) at all levels within the organization.
  • Strong time management and organization skills.
  • Attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
